Geographical Society: Social Secretary

With a strong passion in organising and managing events in the field of geography, I am excited to apply for the role of Social Secretary for the Geography Society. With a hope of bringing different people together, I am eager to foster an engaging and inclusive social calendar that enhances the society’s sense of community and individual's experence. Being the current outreach officer in the society, I have organised various events and networking events such as the speed friending social and helping to organise the winter ball. In addition, having attended a wide variety of social events such as boat parties, clubbing nights, and formal/ informal dinners in other UCL societies, I have gained experience in understanding how the liaising process worked with external vendors, securing venues, and managing budgets. I am looking forward in organizing a mix of academic and social events along with collaborating with local businesses to offer discounts for our members. With my strong organizational skills and being highly approachable in daily lifes, I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and organizational skills to Geography Society.
