I am standing for President of the UCL Geographical Society because I want to create a more engaging, inclusive, and impactful community for all geography students. As a first-year rep, I’ve gained insight into how the society operates and the potential it has to bring students together, both socially and academically. I believe GeogSoc should be at the heart of our student experience, offering opportunities that support us beyond the classroom, from career development to networking and social events that create lasting connections.
I bring strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills, developed through my experience as Head Boy and in coordinating events. I am confident in working with different people, managing projects, and ensuring that ideas turn into action. Additionally, my experience in representing students has given me the ability to listen to different perspectives and advocate effectively for our society’s members. I thrive in leadership roles where I can drive positive change, and I am excited by the challenge of taking Geog Soc to the next level.
If elected, I will work to expand career and networking opportunities, make our social events more inclusive, and strengthen engagement across all year groups. I want to ensure that every geography student feels welcomed and supported within our society. With fresh ideas, a strong vision, and a commitment to making a difference, I will dedicate myself to ensuring GeogSoc thrives!

As a passionate geographer with leadership experience and a strong commitment to fostering a dynamic and engaging society, I am eager to bring my dedication and ideas to this role. Being highly motivated, organized, and approachable in daily life, I am interested in strengthening ties with geographers in different fields, interest and universities in providing networking opportunities, fun & outgoing events, and socials for geographers. I am committed to building a stronger community and creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for both our members and to the wider community. I am excited to share my enthusiasm and introduce the fun of geography to more people through organising events, collaborations and socials in UCL and potentially with other universities' geography societies. Being the current outreach officer in the society and an active volunteer in my high school, I actively contributed by organizing social and academic events such as speed socials, pub crawl, sharing sections and collaborations with other societies. Volunteered in other UCL societies, I also gained a deep understanding on the structure and mechanism of a society which will benefit me in this role. Combining my skills gained from organising open day events & supporting the establishment of friendship connections in my high school, I believe I am an effective communicator, proactive leader, and team player who thrives on bringing people together to build a strong community of geography.
