Election post
I am standing for President of the UCL Geographical Society because I want to create a more engaging, inclusive, and impactful community for all geography students. As a first-year rep, I’ve gained insight into how the society operates and the potential it has to bring students together, both socially and academically. I believe GeogSoc should be at the heart of our student experience, offering opportunities that support us beyond the classroom, from career development to networking and social events that create lasting connections.
I bring strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills, developed through my experience as Head Boy and in coordinating events. I am confident in working with different people, managing projects, and ensuring that ideas turn into action. Additionally, my experience in representing students has given me the ability to listen to different perspectives and advocate effectively for our society’s members. I thrive in leadership roles where I can drive positive change, and I am excited by the challenge of taking Geog Soc to the next level.
If elected, I will work to expand career and networking opportunities, make our social events more inclusive, and strengthen engagement across all year groups. I want to ensure that every geography student feels welcomed and supported within our society. With fresh ideas, a strong vision, and a commitment to making a difference, I will dedicate myself to ensuring GeogSoc thrives!
