Gender and Feminism Society: Treasurer

Hi! My name is Katharina and I am a fourth year studying European Social and Political Studies :) Last year I have been Welfare officer of Genfem, and I absolutely loved working with an amazing committee and amazing members! At the moment I am on a year abroad in Paris (and obviously I love it because who doesn't love Paris!), and here I have been involved with a feminist and gender rights society as well, working on financing strategies. This experience has really motivated me to stand for treasurer of Genfem next year. I believe that our identity shapes the way in which we see and interact with the world, and gender contributes significantly to that, which is one of the reasons why I am so passionate about it and want to foster discussion. The Gender and Feminism society is an exciting and dynamic place allowing for free expression, finding community and coming together for an important cause. As a society, I believe we should aim to engage as many people as possible, within the university community and civil society beyond, creating dialogue and forward our cause. As treasurer, I am committed to creating the necessary administrative infrastructure that is necessary for GenFem to thrive!
