Hi- I'm Ria!
Ever since I was 3 years old - playing in the driveway with my dad, uncles and brother - I have loved football. It has shaped me, teaching me discipline, teamwork, and resilience, and has become a huge part of who I am. Over the past few months, playing with the 2’s—my favourite team ever—I’ve come to appreciate not just the game itself but also the sense of belonging and community that comes with it. Being part of this team has shown me just how much football can bring people together, creating an environment where every player feels valued and motivated. Next year, I want to take on the role of captain to help foster that same inclusive and supportive atmosphere. I’ve learned that, for UCLWFC, success isn’t just measured by the matches we win but by the strength of our team spirit and our commitment to each other. It’s about showing up for one another, pushing ourselves to improve, and celebrating our progress together. With my enthusiasm, passion, and dedication, I believe I can help lead this team by encouraging and uplifting my teammates, ensuring that everyone feels motivated to keep striving for their best.
In summary, football is more than just a sport to me—it’s a core part of my life. Being captain would allow me to give back to the team that has given me so much, and I would love the opportunity to commit myself fully to this role and to this incredible group of players.
P.S. Bego isn't lying.

Hey Team,
I’m excited to apply for the role of captain next year! I’m passionate about football and truly care about this team, which is why I’d love the opportunity to lead. Whether it’s in training or during matches, I’m always ready to put in the work. My goal is to keep the energy high, motivate everyone, and make sure we stay focused while also having a great time on and off the pitch.
If you choose me as your captain, I promise we’ll take on teams like Royal Holloway (🥱) and bring home gold medals! #NoMoreSilver
Football is all about trust, team spirit, and the bond we share as players. As captain, I’ll focus on that—supporting you all in every way possible. We’re more than just teammates; we’re a family that loves kicking balls around (ideally into KCL’s goal).
I know what it takes to stay positive and work hard, especially when it’s freezing and muddy (2°C, anyone?). As your captain, I’ll keep us motivated, focused, and make sure that football remains a fun and enjoyable space for everyone. Whether we’re winning or losing, I’ll always have your back and ensure we stay united as a team. My approach is simple: work hard, support each other, and enjoy every moment of it.
In short, I’d be honored to be one of your captains next year. If you vote for me, I promise we’ll have an incredible season full of wins, laughs, and good vibes

Hi everyone, this is Bego!
I joined UCLWFC in my first year, and now, as I sadly head into my final year, I want to give back to the club and take on a bigger role by running for captain! Over the years, this club has given me so many unforgettable memories, both on and off the pitch and the people I have met here have made every moment - whether it's matches, training or the chaotic, but always fun socials - so much more special.
As a captain, I want us to grow and improve together as a team, balancing commitment with the fun and enjoyment that make football so rewarding. I also want to build on the strong sense of community that makes UCLWFC so special by creating a team where every player feels valued and truly part of something bigger.
I would be extremely honoured to be your captain and can’t wait to lead the team to many more victories! 💜💜
PS: If we win, Ria will buy matching headbands for the whole team.
