I've really enjoyed being part of UCLFC this year, both on and off the pitch. The club has been a fantastic part of my university experience, not just in terms of playing football but also through the sense of camaraderie and community that comes with it. I would love the opportunity to contribute more actively to the club, ensuring that it remains an inclusive, supportive, and enjoyable space for all members. I believe the role of Welfare Secretary would be a great fit for me, as I’m passionate about fostering a positive environment where everyone feels welcome and supported. My experience in leadership roles, Head of Player Engagement for my school football team, has given me the skills to effectively listen, communicate, and advocate for others. I understand the importance of mental and physical well-being in a competitive sports setting, and I would be committed to ensuring that all players feel comfortable reaching out for support when needed. I am eager to take on the responsibilities of this position, whether that means organizing initiatives to promote well-being, ensuring that members have access to the resources they need, or simply being someone people can turn to. UCLFC has been a huge part of my time at university, and I would love the chance to give back by helping to make it an even better place for everyone.

I am a passionate member of UCLFC who wants to give back to the club in my second year at the UC. Throughout my first year, I’ve been keen to get involved in events such as Movember, where I rocked one of the worst staches in the club (whilst covering the second most ground) all in the name of men’s mental health. I’m easily approachable and easy to locate (Social then Scala every Wednesday) for anyone who needs a chat or any other help as well as being well-equipped to solve any issues that may arise. I love the club and its members and want to make sure everyone enjoys their UCLFC and UCL experience as much as I have done so far.

I am standing as I am dedicated to the highest level to UCLFC and thus want to stand amongst the illustrious committee. As reigning FA Chop champion I am already a respected member of the club and want to continue that legacy for the next 2 years. My dedication to this club also led me to sleeping in a van in a city i have never been to before which was an interesting experience but has pushed me towards applying for welfare sec just in case that very normal event happens to anyone else.

A committed member of the club and a frequent presence since joining last summer, this team and all its members have been greatly important to my time at UCL thus far. Hence, I am extremely excited by the possibility to serve and contribute by taking on this role and opportunity. By serving on the committee, I will remain dedicated to promoting the well-being of each member, both on the pitch and off, ensuring that the club continues to foster positive relationships between members as a whole, as well as providing the necessary support each individual may need.
