I’m standing for Football Treasurer because I want to strengthen the club by ensuring its financial sustainability and growth. As a player for UCL 2s, with experience captaining a match, I know firsthand what it takes to compete at a high level. I have also captained teams in Japan, honing my leadership, and organization skills, qualities that are essential for managing the club’s finances.

Studying Economics, I have a strong analytical foundation to handle budgeting and financial planning. My internships have further reinforced my ability to manage finances under pressure, where I conducted company valuations, and worked with data to inform investment decisions. Additionally, through my role as a Business Executive in the UCL Economics and Finance Society, I’ve helped organise events, gaining firsthand experience in operational financing and resource management.

As Treasurer, I would ensure financial transparency and efficiency covering expenses such as training costs, matchday costs, kits, league fees, socials, and tours. However, I don’t just want to maintain the status quo, I want to enhance the club’s experience for every player. That means securing sponsorships to expand our budget, increasing funding for socials to make them even better, and potentially investing in performance analysis tools to help teams improve.

With my leadership experience, financial knowledge, and deep commitment to the club, I am confident I can make a meaningful impact as Treasurer.

 Up the UC!!!

Liam Pfister

I have decided to run as Treasurer for this magnificent club for one reason: to make the best UCL society better.

Here are some (potentially unrealistic) promises, I will do my best to fulfill:

  • Increase transparency
  • NO MORE HACKNEY MARSHES (hopefully astros?)
  • Secure more sponsorships and funding
  • Personalised kits
  • Better Socials through better funding
  • Improve the travel reimbursement system
  • Give my heart and soul to the club (this one will be true)

I hope these will give you an idea of my ambitions for this club, as well as my commitment to you all.

Vote for me, for a better UCFC.

F*** K*ngs, Up The UC.

Xavier Walsh

I've really enjoyed being part of UCLFC this year, both on and off the pitch. The club has been a fantastic part of my university experience, not just in terms of playing football but also through the sense of camaraderie and community that comes with it. I would love the opportunity to contribute more actively to the club, ensuring that it continues to run smoothly and successfully. I believe the role of treasurer would be a great fit for me, as I have prior experience managing finances as treasurer for one of the societies at my school. In that role, I developed key skills in budgeting, financial planning, and ensuring that funds were allocated efficiently to support the society’s activities. I would bring the same level of responsibility and organization to UCLFC, helping to manage the club’s finances effectively and ensuring that resources are used in the best way possible for all members. I am excited to take on the challenges that come with this position and to support the club in any way I can. I want to help UCLFC continue to thrive both competitively and socially, and I would be excited to work alongside the committee to make that happen.

Fedya Mendenhall

Right boys, after two incredible years at this club and some unreal memories, I feel it’s time to give back—and what better way than as treasurer?

Following in Gustavo’s footsteps, I’m ready to build on the great work he’s done and keep our finances in check. Whether it’s handling reimbursements for captains, maintaining a strong relationship with the SU, or making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, I’ll take on whatever’s needed to support the club.

But this role isn’t just about keeping the books balanced. I’ll be working closely with the rest of the committee to ensure our budget is used effectively—from securing quality pitches, to making sure we’ve got the best kits and socials possible. On top of that, I’ll be pushing to bring in new sponsors and financial opportunities to help the club grow.

As for experience, my mechanical engineering degree has given me a solid foundation in finance and management, and I’m ready to put that knowledge to work, where it really matters.

To conclude: I love football, I love the UC, and I’m fully prepared to put in the time and effort to keep this great club thriving.

All votes are greatly appreciated.
