As Drama Producer, I want to help bring everyone’s creative visions and stories to life and make sure Term Films always run smoothly, so that our projects are fulfilling and enjoyable from the start to the end of the process.

I love FilmSoc; I first got involved by joining the GendFilm crew as 1st Assistant Director last year and since then I’ve been AD twice more and I'm now executive producing GendFilm 2025. As AD I’ve effectively organised the shooting schedule and managed the crew so that everyone has a positive experience. I’ve learnt so much on every film I’ve been part of, and I’m always so inspired by all of the amazing people on set.

I want to produce innovative and diverse stories at FilmSoc, and broaden the scope of student filmmaking. Given the amazing reputation of the society at UCL, I would harness this opportunity and bring to life experimental projects that we can be proud of, and that challenge filmmaking conventions.

I have experience interning at a TV production company, and I enjoy creating spreadsheets for absolutely everything, so I would feel confident leading the crew through logistics, freeing up more time for their creative expression.

This is why I would love to become Drama Producer, to help ensure that our Term Films are organised and efficient, and continue to offer students the opportunity to work together, be creative, produce great work, and learn along the way.

Sadie Long

Hi everyone!

My name is Sadie, and I am running for Drama Producer because I am incredibly passionate about filmmaking and creating a community that is welcoming for all! Some of my earliest memories are making iMovie films with my little sister, and since then my love for drama and film creation has only grown. Previous leadership and filmmaking experiences have prepared me for the role of Drama Producer: I ran my school's film festival two years in a row, the largest student run film festival in Los Angeles by High Schoolers. My responsibilities included: screening and selecting films, inter-admin and festival communication and sourcing interview guests from the film industry. My previous positions (student y13 representative  and producer/actor) have equipped me for this leadership role and collaboration with society members and my co-Drama Producer.

Currently, I am assistant producing the Term 2 Film, sharpening my skills in assigning roles, communication, organization, finance management and running production behind the scenes, all of which are necessary skills for the Drama Producers when overseeing the term films. I am also an active member of Film Soc and, most recently, my short film won the Judge's Vote for the T2 48-hour film challenge. This year, I have grown to love the Film Soc community so much, and it would be an honor to work with other talented creatives and society members on the term films and society events as part of committee next year.

Vishal Saha

Hi, I’m Vish!

Having actively participated in FilmSoc—including winning the 48-hour film challenge—I’ve seen firsthand how exciting but challenging film production can be. As Drama Producer, I want to help bring ambitious short films to life by ensuring productions run smoothly from pre-production to post-production.

I have extensive experience managing creative projects. I founded and led my school’s film club, overseeing productions, coordinating teams, and fostering a collaborative space for filmmakers. Directing drama performances strengthened my skills in scheduling, delegation, and production logistics—key to ensuring a film is completed on time and to a high standard.

Beyond school, I help organize the Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF), where I assist in film selection, event planning, and promotional content creation. I also gained hands-on production experience at BBC Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room, working behind the scenes to ensure high-level productions ran seamlessly. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the coordination, budgeting, and problem-solving needed to manage film projects effectively.

If elected, I want to streamline production processes to make filmmaking more accessible to members, provide better logistical support for drama projects, and secure funding opportunities to elevate FilmSoc productions.

I’d love your support to bring exciting productions to FilmSoc next year!
