Hi, I’m Vish!
Having actively participated in FilmSoc—including winning the 48-hour film challenge—I’ve seen firsthand how exciting but challenging film production can be. As Drama Producer, I want to help bring ambitious short films to life by ensuring productions run smoothly from pre-production to post-production.
I have extensive experience managing creative projects. I founded and led my school’s film club, overseeing productions, coordinating teams, and fostering a collaborative space for filmmakers. Directing drama performances strengthened my skills in scheduling, delegation, and production logistics—key to ensuring a film is completed on time and to a high standard.
Beyond school, I help organize the Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF), where I assist in film selection, event planning, and promotional content creation. I also gained hands-on production experience at BBC Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room, working behind the scenes to ensure high-level productions ran seamlessly. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the coordination, budgeting, and problem-solving needed to manage film projects effectively.
If elected, I want to streamline production processes to make filmmaking more accessible to members, provide better logistical support for drama projects, and secure funding opportunities to elevate FilmSoc productions.
