Environmental, Social and Governance Society: Welfare Officer

Dear members of ESG society,

I am Sophie and I am excited to run as your new Welfare Officer for ESG society. I am deeply passionate about ESG and sustainability, as evidenced by my involvement in various ESG-related internships and as Research Analyst for the society, and I hope to be able to contribute to the growth of the society and allow this meaningful cause to reach a greater audience. In doing so, I also understand the importance of supporting the welfare and sense of belonging of all our members, and I hope to achieve this by being a part of the society's leadership team as Welfare Officer.

As a current Editor and Research analyst, I have had the opportunity to mentor and work closely with other research analysts, and thus believe I have a better understanding of the needs and concerns of the society members. Furthermore, I have also held previous positions as Welfare Head in societies in my high school and secondary school, and I have contributed in various ways from large-scale welfare initiatives, to simply building rapport with fellow members and listening closely to their needs and suggestions for improvement. I believe that my prior involvement in the society and passion for ESG, combined with my previous experiences as Welfare Head makes me an ideal candidate for this position.

If selected as Welfare Officer, my goal will be to implement more opportunities for society members to bond and interact, and support one another in exploring a career in ESG. I will also strive to make every ESG society member's
