As president this year, I have worked to elevate the society’s role as a hub for knowledge, collaboration, and industry engagement in the energy transition space. I introduced several initiatives to expand the society’s impact. My vision focused on two key areas:

Industry Exposure & Knowledge Sharing
We connected students with professionals across energy sub-disciplines, hosting discussions on wind and solar modelling, EU electricity markets, and carbon pricing through monthly speaker sessions covering energy finance, engineering, and policy, and a flagship networking event connecting Oxbridge and London universities at Imperial.

Nationwide Collaboration
We helped students engage with energy enthusiasts across UK universities through initiatives like Climate Report, where teams proposed solutions to accelerate climate action at the government level, and a start-up style competition offering seed funding and access to a climate-tech accelerator.
We also partnered with UCL Sustainability and became affiliated with UCL’s Energy Institute, strengthening ties with UCL's central Energy and Sustainability team. These efforts have strengthened student engagement, bridging knowledge with action.

I want to build on this momentum by introducing visits to wind farms and nuclear plants while expanding other opportunities. If you believe my leadership has added value, vote for me, and let’s take the society forward together :)
