Education Innovation and Edupreneurship Society: President

Hi everyone, I’m Sophie, a second-year Psychology with Education (BSc) student and currently an Associate Director in this society. I’m excited to be running for President for the next Academic Year!

Since I joined as a first-year, EIE society has really opened me up to the diversity, opportunities, and landscape of the EdTech industry - a field which I had little prior knowledge of. But EIE’s supportive, engaging, and passionate community provided a space where I could quickly up-skill and nurture my passion for innovative education. Combining my experience within the committee and knowledge of EIE’s role in and outside of UCL, I’m confident that I can lead and uphold the ethos of our society.

As President, I’m dedicated to maintaining the breadth and value of past EIE events for our dedicated members. I’m particularly committed to ensuring a welcoming, diverse, and inclusive environment for members to explore their interests and make meaningful connections with confidence. I hope to expand our community to encompass not only IOE students, but also the wider UCL student body to advance EIE’s mission of inspiring potential educators, innovators and leaders!

To me, being President means being a leader who you can be supported by, listened to, and trust in. So, it would truly be a privilege to have this opportunity to grow alongside and serve you. Thank you for your time and consideration!
