Sophia Dudler

My deep passion for welfare goes beyond a role, it's my life's purpose - making Global Humanitarian Studies not just an academic pursuit but a reflection of my commitment to improving lives

Why me?

  • Hands-on Experience in Care (nurse over summer) & Volunteering (having been Charity Prefect and currently volunteering with Kindle Corner Charity as their Director of Fundraising and Development in Camden, along side my role as Secretary of UCL Rotaract, engaging in activities like homelessness initiatives)
  • Leadership roles: from mentoring younger students to being Class President, Student Rep for BSc GHS & First Year Rep for DRRH Society - my responsibility skills along side my interpersonal skills that are required to ensure student voices are heard have been strengthened
  • Multicultural Perspectives: Swiss Italian Greek, raised in Dubai/UK

My vision:

  • Pre-Event Drop in Sessions:  t build confidence and articulate thoughts before key events like Embassy Visits and Insightful Talks- thus never leave an event again thinking, “I wish I had asked that question.”
  • Tailored Feedback & Support:
    • Anonymous surveys to gather concerns and suggestions.
    • Focus-led sessions addressing specific challenges, eg: managing article submissions for the Diplomacy Review
    • General listening services- with a sweet treat, because a little sugar always helps!
  • Collaborations & Workshops:

I am ready to champion your welfare, ensuring you feel supported, heard, and empowered. Vote Sophia- because your wellbeing

Cenra Koroglu

I am running for the position “Welfare Officer” in the Diplomacy Society because I want to organise events that allow students interested in diplomacy to connect in a non-academic setting. Since socialising and making conversation lies at the heart of diplomacy, my goal is to enhance students' university experience by ensuring that our events are not only purposeful but also enjoyable.

I plan to utilise my previous experience as an event manager and collaborate with different societies within and outside UCL to create a welcoming environment for students who wish to be a part of the society. Having served as the chairperson and delegate at numerous Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, I understand that students look forward to social events after a long day of classes or conferences. I am committed to making our social gatherings appealing and to organizing unique get-togethers that provide a break from university work.

Through my visits to various embassies and hosting the French consulate and French attachés at a conference I organized in high school, I learned from diplomats worldwide that networking is a vital social skill necessary for a successful career in diplomacy. I will ensure that each of our social events is not only original and engaging but also worth your time.

Sabrina Hart

Hi everyone! My name is Sabrina Hart, and in the 2025/2026 academic year, I will be a third year in the classics program. I joined the Diplomacy Society this year, hoping to build upon my own experience in politics and diplomacy through connecting with people sharing similar goals and mindsets at UCL. My favorite thing about our society is the breadth of topics we explore, and the open-mindedness with which we approach them.

The topics we discuss can be incredibly heavy, personal, and at times, overwhelming. We speak about real issues that affect our family, friends, and each other. This is why it is so important to actively create a safe and welcoming society for each one of our members.

I was the Welfare Officer for the In Aid of UNICEF Society this past academic year, which deals with similarly heavy topics as our society. I will use and build on this experience as Welfare Officer for our society, and plan to organise activities such as colouring evenings, check-ins, and cafe afternoons. These events will be a place for all of our members to chat, destress, and connect with one another over our society's content. I promise to be a person with whom you can share any concerns you have, whether inside the society or about university life in general, with confidentiality. We are so lucky to have a society where we explore such important topics with each other, and I can’t wait to create an environment where we all feel supported and appreciated.
