Hi dancers, my name is Yuma and I am running for scheduling officer!
As an avid SC seat booker, IOE scavenger and timetable maniac, I believe I would be a good fit for this role. My time-management skills and organised nature will definitely come in handy!
I am committed to finding the best possible room for weekly classes, shows, full casts, rehearsals and any/all dance soc events that are adapted to each style of dance. I understand how frustrating getting an adapted room can be, which is why I want to make sure all of you have the best possible space to dance in.
As a rep for my course, I am aware and ready to manage the feedback from all of the people using these rooms, and ready to take on this responsibility within dance soc.
I am also a reactive and proactive person, that is very likely to be online and ready to respond to your questions, queries or concerns. I will do my best to book rooms as early as possible and will be sure to help out with any last minute quirks about room bookings!
Make sure to vote for me for scheduling officer :)

Having experienced the excitement of UCL Dance shows, I understand how crucial it is to have the right spaces for rehearsals and performance.
With my current experience as Event's Secretary, I already have the experience of booking rooms through the SU and handling logistics, making the scheduling and room booking process as smooth as possible.
Here's what I promise to bring to the society next year:
- Determined the fight for the best spaces, especially those with plenty of space and hard floors (like Nunn hall) - every dancer deserves the best environment to thrive!
- A strong commitment to work with the team to bring the best possible experience to the society
- Excited to ensure that shows and rehearsals run as smoothly as possible, supporting everyone along the way
- Avid user to google sheets to streamline room planning and organisation
Vote for me and I'll make sure that next year's dance experience in the best one yet!

Dance is all about timing, space, and harmony. I'm stepping up to be your Scheduling Officer because I believe I can orchestrate the behind-the-scenes magic that makes our society thrive. Organization is my forte—I live by my phone and laptop, always ready to tackle any scheduling challenge that comes our way. I'll handle block bookings for our weekly classes with precision, ensuring we have the ideal spaces to perfect our craft. I'll fight for spaces with hard floors, mirrors, and the room we need to express ourselves fully. Understanding that last-minute issues can arise, I'll be the dependable point of contact for choreographers, ready to assist with any room-related problems. I'll ensure that every rehearsal begins on time, without a hitch, so we can focus on what we love most—dancing. Rather than being intimidated during the busy period, I'm excited to implement streamlined scheduling systems, perhaps introducing an accessible online calendar so everyone stays informed in real-time. It's about more than scheduling; it's about contributing to unforgettable performances. I aim to cultivate stronger relationships with venue coordinators, unlocking the potential for new and better spaces. Imagine rehearsing in venues we've only dreamed of until now. By choosing me as your Scheduling Officer, you're selecting someone who is wholeheartedly committed to our society's success. Together, we'll synchronize our efforts and make this the most organized and exhilarating year yet!

Hey Dance Soc! My name is Gemma and I'm a first year Psychology student :)
From booking my own rehearsals for the Freshers' Show at the start of this year, as well as being on a team with Mia B, our current SO, I have seen first-hand what a key role Scheduling Officer has in the organisation of Dance Soc; ensuring that each class, rehearsal, and workshop, has a room booked and ready to dance in.
Anyone who has seen the Calendar app on my phone knows how much I love scheduling and keeping an organised timetable (ironically it's my favourite form of procrastination), so I believe I will be great at managing each choreographer's room bookings and making sure rehearsals in Dance Soc can continue to run smoothly throughout the coming year. I am quite good with tech, so I am confident I will be able to use and optimise UCL's room booking system to the best of my ability, and I am happy to be a helping hand if you encounter any problems.
I am aware of the responsibility and commitment that is required of every committee member, but I really love Dance Soc and am excited to work with all of you to make sure our society continues to be a fun and connected community. I love watching every show and competition piece we produce, so being Scheduling Officer would provide me with the wonderful opportunity to communicate closely with our fantastic teachers and choreographers, and I promise I will try my absolute best to book as many rooms with mirrors and wooden floors for you all as I can!!!
