Mashall Argandiwal

Ever since I first experienced the passion and talent of the dance society during freshers week, joining has now made it a huge part of my university experience. From the extremely fun practises to the incredible people I share this passion with, I've loved every moment. Now I'd love the opportunity to give back as a Publicity and Design Officer. I have a eagerness for creativity and storytelling, and with my experience in graphic design and promoting/managing events, I want to help more people discover and appreciate this incredible sport. If voted for, I'll focus on boosting our online presence, creating eye-catching promotional materials, and ensuring our hardwork gets the recognition it deserves. I'd love to bring fresh ideas, like more engaging social media content and behind-the-scenes features, to make our society even more visible and exciting. Your support would mean so much - thank you! 🩷

Dahlia Djelouah

Hi! I’m Dahlia, a first year student, and this year I had the amazing opportunity to participate in Blooms!! From the very first class, I knew this was a community I wanted to be deeply involved in, not just as a dancer, but as someone who can help grow and promote our society’s talent and passion. That’s why I’m running for Publicity and Design Officer!!!!

I’d be a great fit for this role since I love graphic design, in high school I had the chance to design my year’s senior hoodies, prom and graduation tickets, gaining experience in branding, merchandise creation and event promotion. Seeing my designs come to life were incredibly rewarding and I would be honored to do as much for UCL’s dance society!!

Beyond just designing, I’m committed to creating fluid communication between officers to make sure the dance committee is as cohesive, efficient, and creatively aligned as possible, ensuring that every project runs smoothly and everyone’s vision is represented. I also like to think of myself as a very organized person (in my humble opinion..), so attending class duties and being in a shows production sounds right up my alley!!

If you want vibrant, engaging and gorgeous publicity for our society, I’d be honored to have your vote! Let’s make Dance Soc’s visuals as gorgeous as our performances (tbt to gorg blooms '25 :) ) !!!

Defne D. Aydin

Hi, I’m Defne, a first-year Physics student, and an 8-year dancer. Dance has always been a huge part of my life, and I want to make it an even bigger part of my university experience. That’s why I’m running for Publicity & Design Officer.

The responsibilities for this role are right up my alley. As Publicity & Design Officer, I will make our brand stand out, using social media and merch. I have experience designing logos for my high school’s clubs and attended a fashion design club where I designed and sewed clothes. I also took a “Creating Your Own Brand” course, giving me insights in branding, content creation, and design.

Beyond design, I have exciting ideas to bring to the society.

Not everyone can commit to long rehearsal schedules and going auditioning can be intimidating. That’s why I propose weekly open choreography sessions, where anyone can choreograph or learn a short routine and perform it on campus in a fun, low-pressure setting—like a flash mob! This gives more people the chance to express themselves through dance without the long-term commitment of shows. It also energises campus life and increases our presence. By filming and sharing these performances on social media, we keep our content fresh, showcase the society’s talent, and ensure that Dance Soc stays visible, and attractive—both online and on campus.

If elected, I promise to bring ideas like this to life and design merch that you can show off all year round. Vote Defne for Publicity & Design Officer!
