Constantinos Papacharalambous

Whenever I talk to Cypriot and Greek students in London, I hear the same concern everyone is caught up in the fast pace of the city, missing the sense of community and belonging that we cherish back home. Most importantly, many feel disconnected from their roots.

I have always believed that our community deserves to feel united, supported, and engaged, and I am ready to make that happen.

To strengthen our society, I propose a range of exciting events, initiatives, and improvements, including:

  • Bigger and better Greek Nights and Entexnes Vrades
  • A fair and transparent system for ticket allocations to ensure equal opportunities for all members
  • Stronger partnerships with the Cypriot Federation in London, organizing events with Cypriots of the Diaspora
  • Traditional BBQs – FOUKOUES! (We already have a few ready to go, with plenty of souvlakia, sheftalia, and halloumi!)
  • Sports & Games:
    1. Football: Custom kit designs & participation in local tournaments
    2. Tavli tournament
    3. Bingo Night
    4. Padel outings
    5. Group Runs
    6. Cypriot/Greek dance workshops
  • Frappe afternoons every second Wednesday for casual meetups and networking

We need to reignite our connection to our culture and traditions, and I am committed to making that a reality.

Let’s build a stronger, more connected Cypriot and Hellenic community together!
