I believe I am committed to welfare for myself, friends and family. I would be the same for other cricket club members as a Welfare Officer. I have always enjoyed and taken pride in being there for those that I care about and feel I could successfully present that in fulfilling a committee role. Additionally, I have experience in charity fundraising, rasing over £1000 individually for Movember 2022, running 100km over the month. Mental health, particularly men's mental health is something that I am passionate about and believe it is something all of us should believe in, as it is all too easy, especially in sport, to keep our worries to ourselves. I believe I could translate this passion into effectively fulfilling the role of Welfare Officer and be a friendly, approachable face for the Club.
Hello everyone, hope you are well!
I am nominating for welfare as I hope to maintain the amazing standard that has been set by our previous secretaries in creating an open and communicative environment for our members.
In my first year it was a huge comfort to be able to speak with then welfare officer Amaar Khan, I aim to be able to give the same kind of comfortability going forward.
Above all, welfare is about being a person that someone can come to with anything and not feel any pressure or judgement, that is what I will provide.
Thank you, hope to talk to you soon,
Joey.
