Hi I'm Shreya, a medical student with an iBSc in Management from Imperial. I have a considerable interest in life sciences consulting as it provides me with an avenue to apply my knowledge in medicine to provide ideas for how life science companies can best grow.
As VP of Life Sciences, I wish to organise panel events with top consulting services specialised in life sciences in addition to CV workshops with staff from these companies. Throughout my year intercalating in Management, I have made key connections with people working in life sciences firms such as Candesic, so I hope to leverage these. I wish to also combine higher level networking such as this with mentorship initiatives in order to connect members to alumni or older students who have achieved their career goals.
Aside from networking, I aim to organise case based workshops specific to life sciences where industry experts can teach our members how best to analyse a case. To add to this, we could organise case competitions between members.
Furthermore, I wish to keep all members interested in life sciences consulting in the loop through a potential weekly email, flagging key career opportunities or events taking place.
I hope to use my strong leadership and team working skills, in addition to an organised approach to event planning, to ensure a series of inspirational events throughout the year.

Hi, I'm Aditi, and I am running for the position of Life Sciences Consulting VP. I am currently the First Year Representative for the Life Science Division, a role that has provided me with a first hand view of the division’s operations and goals. While assisting with events for Life Sciences, I also worked on the Client Project division’s new initiative as a Capabilities and Insights Executive. This has helped to strengthen valuable teamwork and leadership skills that are critical for a VP role. I have also been part of a consulting project with UCL 180DC for an NGO focused on sustainable healthcare which has enhanced my problem solving skills.
My main aim is to address the gap between academics and industry with specific support for those wishing to go into life science consulting. I hope to expand the division with the following initiatives:
Monthly newsletter covering industry updates
A regular mailing list featuring biotech, pharma, and healthcare updates (market trends, M&As, regulatory approvals) to improve commercial awareness for interviews and careers. Over time, we can expand to include student-written articles on sector trends.
Expansion of the life science consulting tracker
Begin including first-year opportunities and grad schemes, increasing overall accessibility
Workshops and Networking events
Continue running case workshops, panel discussions and networking events to ensure students are able to receive as much exposure to the field as possible

Hi, I’m Trishna, and I am running for the position of Life Sciences VP!
As a previous academic representative and football player, I will strive to bring my teamworking ability, organisation, and communication skills to fulfil this role. My experience in developing innovation as a lead student researcher for a healthtech enterprise, and engaging with life sciences consulting firms such as Protagoras Group & Candesic has equipped me with a practical understanding of the life sciences market and an entrepreneurial spirit that excites me to be your Life Sciences VP.
If elected, I would leverage my network, experience and abilities to prioritise and provide the following:
Insight: Organise speaker events with life sciences consultants to gain an understanding of the field and grow your network.
Advice: Work with colleagues to hold informative sessions on a career in life sciences consulting and how to acquire experience to elevate your skillset.
Opportunities: Regularly highlight the latest CV-boosting opportunities and events in consulting.
As a STEM student, I understand the initial challenges of exploring consulting as a career and hope to support members as I believe everyone has a place in consulting. I thoroughly enjoy my time at UCLCS and hope to work with you all soon!
Thank you :)

Being VP of Life Sciences isn’t about a title, it’s about making an impact. I know because I’ve spent the last couple of years starting and leading projects at the intersection of STEM and strategy.
Writing my NASA-NSS Space Settlement Competition winning project on leveraging zero-gravity for 3D printing organs ignited my passion for science. But, it wasn’t until TKS, a program equipping students with skills and mindsets to disrupt technologies, that I turned my research into a project with business acumen. I managed an international team of 5 to build Alara, the first bioprinting space manufacturing concept. We developed a website, market analysis, one pager, pitching deck, and article, earning “Most Innovative Idea” out of 3,500+ global submissions.
During TKS, I was also selected to develop an EdTech strategy with the World Economic Forum integrating their educational platform into Finland’s phenomenon-based learning approach. By pinpointing UX and market weaknesses, my team’s pitch deck won. These experiences taught me to translate science into numbers, zoom in on details without losing the big picture and make complex ideas digestible.
The goal isn’t just to host events but to build a division that delivers real value to students. And I’ve done this before, from WEF and Alara to leading Bucharest’s largest student science society. I strongly believe I am the right fit for this position owing to my strong interest in the Life Sciences and my background in consulting.
Life science consulting is an essential part of the healthcare industry as well as for the largest consulting groups - and as you VP, I want to make those of us interested in the field, as prepared as we can be to bag some GREAT life science consulting offers!
This year, I’ve had the privilege of organising collaborative life science consulting events through my involvement in other committees, giving me firsthand insight into what it takes to create impactful opportunities. I understand the importance of networking and will bring you the best of both worlds—life sciences and management consulting—through a range of initiatives:
Guest Speakers: Bringing in experts from top life science consulting firms to share their insights and career journeys.
Networking Events: Connecting you with professionals and peers to build meaningful relationships.
Coffee Socials: Intimate sessions with industry experts for personalised advice and guidance.
Mentorship Programmes: Pairing you with experienced consultants to support your career development.
Internship Application Help: Workshops and resources to help you stand out in the competitive consulting field.
With experience leading large-scale events and managing diverse teams, I’m committed to delivering value and fostering a strong, inclusive community. Let’s make this year unforgettable—vote for Anisha as YOUR Vice President of Life Sciences!

From a STEM background in medical science to consulting, I’ve always been drawn to problem-solving in healthcare and life sciences. I am passionate about preventative medicine and believe that consulting for healthcare companies can drive real societal change. Having led multiple teams—President of UCL Lifestyle Medicine Society, Head of School and an Associate Consultant at London Strategic Consulting—I have experience in building partnerships and organizing high-impact events. As VP of Life Sciences, I want to expand career opportunities for STEM students in consulitng.
My Plans for UCL Consulting Society’s Life Sciences Division:
