Election post

Hi, I'm Aditi, and I am running for the position of Life Sciences Consulting VP. I am currently the First Year Representative for the Life Science Division, a role that has provided me with a first hand view of the division’s operations and goals. While assisting with events for Life Sciences, I also worked on the Client Project division’s new initiative as a Capabilities and Insights Executive. This has helped to strengthen valuable teamwork and leadership skills that are critical for a VP role. I have also been part of a consulting project with UCL 180DC for an NGO focused on sustainable healthcare which has enhanced my problem solving skills.
My main aim is to address the gap between academics and industry with specific support for those wishing to go into life science consulting. I hope to expand the division with the following initiatives:
Monthly newsletter covering industry updates
A regular mailing list featuring biotech, pharma, and healthcare updates (market trends, M&As, regulatory approvals) to improve commercial awareness for interviews and careers. Over time, we can expand to include student-written articles on sector trends.
Expansion of the life science consulting tracker
Begin including first-year opportunities and grad schemes, increasing overall accessibility
Workshops and Networking events
Continue running case workshops, panel discussions and networking events to ensure students are able to receive as much exposure to the field as possible
