I’m running for President because of how much consulting has intrigued me in the last year. When I first joined UCL, I knew I was interested in consulting, but it was through this society’s events, workshops, and networking opportunities that I really got hooked. The more I learned, the more I wanted to be part of it. Now, I want to help others gain that same exposure, excitement, and confidence about consulting.
Sometimes learning about consulting can feel intimidating, and I want to change that. Interactive case workshops, unique competitions and networking events that don’t just feel like awkward small talk with people you’ll never see again. My goal is to make this society more engaging, practical, and fun.
Through my experience in consulting projects, I’ve seen how much people can achieve when given the right opportunities. Whether you’re aiming for MBB or are just curious about consulting I want this society to be the place for you. With how wide and diverse consulting is as an industry, I want this society to cater to the needs of as many different types of UCL students as possible and play a part in shaping people’s career decisions.
To conclude if you’re looking for a society that is informative, interactive, and friendly, vote for me as your president I ensure you that next year will be the best one

Over the past year I served as the Operations First-Year Representative, working directly under the president, gaining firsthand experience in leadership, event planning, and strategic partnerships. Shadowing their role has given me a clear understanding of how to run the society effectively, and now I want to take it further by strengthening our partnerships, expanding recruitment support, and enhancing the overall member experience.
My experience through completing a summer internship in investment consulting at LCP to creating a BCG mentored startup allows me to bring expertise to the president role. Additionally having secured 13 Spring Week offers I can provide insightful information on recruitment, establishing structured mentorship programs to support members in navigating the competitive consulting recruitment process.
With my connections at BCG and McKinsey, I will work to strengthen partnerships and host exclusive events featuring consultants from leading firms. My goal is to increase collaboration with these firms through panel discussions, case competitions, and insight days, giving members direct exposure to industry professionals and real-world consulting challenges.
Ultimately, I want to position UCL Consulting Society as the go-to platform for students aspiring to enter consulting, ensuring we offer the best resources, industry connections, and recruitment support to help our members succeed.

Hi! I’m Shiv, and I’m running to be President of the UCL Consulting Society! As First-Year Rep for Events, I helped organise the Consulting Summit 2025, gaining experience planning major events and working with key stakeholders. Now, I want to take the society further—expanding opportunities, strengthening mentorship, and making it the best place for UCL students to break into consulting. Let’s make it happen together! I have a clear 5-point plan:
1. Stronger Connections with Consulting Firms: launch the UCL Consulting Gala, an event bringing together students, alumni, and recruiters. Introduce firm-sponsored networking evenings and coffee chats to help members build key industry relationships.
2. Up-to-Date Briefing Packs: ensure members have regularly updated briefing packs covering industry trends, firm profiles, and case interview techniques, with briefing sessions to help students use them effectively.
3. Revamped Mentorship Programme: introduce a structured mentorship scheme for all year groups, pairing students with alumni and professionals, offering group mentoring sessions and an online platform for easy communication.
4. More Social & Alumni Engagement: organise networking nights, inviting alumni, to help members build strong connections and gain industry insights.
5. Make the Society UCL’s Leading Career Hub: expand firm partnerships, secure exclusive opportunities, and grow our online presence to ensure the society is the top consulting hub at UCL.
