Yiming Hao

Hello everyone, I’m Yiming Hao, a first-year student in UCL’s Physics Department. I joined CSSA Liaison and Public Relations in my first year, where I gained valuable experience. Over the past year, I successfully facilitated multiple cooperation projects, including the Huawei Career Talk and CSSA Membership Card Business Partnerships.

To improve efficiency and partnerships, I am now running for Head of Liaison and Public Relations. This department is not just a bridge between CSSA and the outside world but also a core hub for resource integration and innovative collaboration. My vision includes:

1.Optimizing cooperation models to maintain steady resources and smooth operations.

2.Deepening ties with other CSSA departments. Extend resources beyond the department to benefit all of CSSA.

3.Diversifying resource types and collaboration models to provide more benefits for students.

4.Refining resource integration for higher-quality collaborations.

5.Organizing targeted events tailored to different academic backgrounds.

6.Others ......

After a year of training and experience, I aspire to leverage my experience and efforts to take the department to a new level. My goal is to ensure that more UCL Chinese students truly benefit from the resources brought by CSSA. I look forward to working alongside all of you to build CSSA into a truly valuable and resourceful platform for the entire UCL Chinese student community.  If you support this vision, I’d be honored to have your vote! Thank you!

Siyu Liu

My name is Siyu Liu, and I am a first-year Psychology student at UCL. With a strong background in public relations and leadership, I am excited to apply for Head of the Liaison and Public Relations Department at CSSA UCL.

I have extensive experience in external partnerships and sponsorship acquisitions. As President of my high school’s Student Union, I coordinated major events such as the Talent Show, 20th Anniversary Celebrations, and Food Fair. Through these experiences, I developed strong skills in building collaborations, securing sponsorships, and promoting large-scale initiatives.

As Head of Liaison and Public Relations, I aim to enhance and expand the department’s initiatives:

• Enhance the Freshers’ Pre-Departure Event by securing diverse sponsorships for banking, housing, and student discounts.

• Improve the CSSA Membership Card Program with more business partnerships and better digital accessibility.

• Boost Sponsorships for Major Events like the Spring Festival Gala and Gold Autumn Fair to enhance funding and promotion.

• Expand Corporate and University Ties to create valuable networking and career opportunities.

With my experience and vision, I am confident in my ability to strengthen CSSA’s outreach, enhance student benefits, and create new opportunities for the Chinese student community.

Zhenyu Zhang

My Advantages

Rich Experience in External Relations:
I worked on many activities in the past year. I did offline corporate presentations, merchant talks for student union cards, and made sponsorship plans for the 2025 Spring Festival Gala. These gave me good knowledge of external relations work. I also got useful practical experience.

Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills:
I joined events like the "Durian Gathering" overseas promotion by the Cultural Department. This helped me get good communication and negotiation skills. These skills will help me get better results when talking to partners.

Logical Thinking and Problem-Solving Abilities from Research Background:
I am a PhD student at the School of Chemistry. In my research, I learned how to think clearly and solve hard problems. This helps me look at work situations well. It also lets me find quick solutions when there are problems.

Contributions to the Department

Optimizing Existing Cooperation Models:
I will check all current partner relationships. I will make sure each one helps international students as much as it can. This will improve cooperation quality.

Introducing Innovative Cooperation Projects:
I will start new projects like "Sino-Foreign Dual Mentor Academic Research Workshops". These will help students build their backgrounds. They will also give more growth chances.
