Since joining book club at the start of the academic year, I've really enjoyed my time spent with the community is formed here. As welfare officer, one of the things I would do is have weekly and monthly readings or themes chosen further in advance. This would give members more time to fit reading around their academic commitments, reducing the time pressure. My priority would be to create an environment in which everyone feels welcomed and feels happy to return each week!
