Biotechnology Society: Vice-President

Hello biotech members! I am standing for the position of Vice-President for the Biotechnology Society. As a passionate advocate for the transformative potential for biotechnology, I am eager to contribute to the growth of this society, fostering innovative discussions, collaboration and development among our members.

My vision for this role:

• More engaging events: organise guest lectures, panel discussions for biotech experts and researchers, providing opportunities for networking and mentorship opportunities.
• Stronger industry connections: Make use of UCL partnerships with leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies, such as the Rosalind Franklin Institute and UCL alumni, providing internships, networking opportunities
• An inclusive and active society: Collaborate with other members of the committee to organise more social events such as welcome picnics, allowing for a welcoming, engaging environment where students from diverse backgrounds can participate and share ideas.
