I am eager to apply for the role of Vice President of the Biomedical Sciences Society, driven by my passion for representing our community and supporting its growth. My goal is to help create an inclusive, engaging & dynamic environment where every student can explore their interests, develop key skills, and connect with like-minded peers.
Serving as a student prefect and fundraiser leader has enhanced my ability to delegate tasks, manage events, and represent a wider community, equipping me with the organisational and leadership skills needed to assist in running a successful society. My experience on the student council has further motivated me to be a spokesperson for students, ensuring every voice is heard- something I aim to bring to this role through polls, feedback forms, and open discussions.
As Vice President, I will work closely with the President & biomedical committee to ensure smooth running of the society, by assisting in event planning & overseeing society operations. Volunteering in a nursing home has allowed me to become a strong team player, ready to support and integrate everyone's ideas into each event. I am also committed to taking initiative where the President is unavailable, ensuring the smooth execution of key events and fulfilling my responsibilities.
I would love the opportunity to bring my leadership, enthusiasm, and vision to the Biomedical Sciences Society as your next Vice President. Count on me—for a Stronger, Smarter Society!
I’m Anisha, a passionate Biomedical Sciences student running for Vice President of the UCL Biomedical Sciences Society. I absolutely love my course and am dedicated to making this society a vibrant, inclusive community that brings together students from all years (Y1, Y2, Y3) and beyond.
If elected, I will:
Organise guest talks and industry meet-ups with leading professionals to inspire and guide your career paths.
Arrange lab visits and networking events with students from other universities to broaden your horizons.
Host mid-year and end-of-year celebrations to celebrate our achievements and have an opportunity to wind-down
Create opportunities for and mentorship programmes with third years to help younger students out
Work with professors and leading researchers to provide all of us with networking sessions, skill-development workshops and 1-on-1 mentorship that we often do not get during our time studying here.
With experience leading events for 600+ people and managing teams of 20+, I’m a responsible, ambitious, and committed leader ready to deliver impactful initiatives. Let’s make this year unforgettable—vote for Anisha as YOUR Vice President!

Hello, my name is Aryan and I am a second-year Biomedical Sciences student running for Vice President of the Biomedical Sciences Society. University is not just about academics—it’s about making connections, gaining valuable career opportunities, and enjoying the experience to the fullest. As Vice President, I will work closely with the President, Treasurer, and the rest of the committee to ensure our society provides meaningful opportunities, exciting events, and a strong community for all students.
Being a Transition Mentor, I understand the importance of support, guidance, and fostering a welcoming environment for students. I have also been involved in the cricket society as 2nd XI Captain, where I have seen first-hand how a well-run student group brings people together. Additionally, I have experience in securing sponsorships, having successfully helped EFS Client Relations obtain funding. This has given me the skills to bring in sponsorships for our society, reducing costs for members while allowing us to expand our events and opportunities.
Our course is one of the largest at UCL, and we should take full advantage of that—creating networking opportunities, career events, and social activities that benefit everyone.
If elected as Vice President, I will focus on:
- Expanding career and networking opportunities by bringing in industry professionals, researchers, and biomedical experts.
- Using my connections with alumni and job recruiters to secure internships, shadowing, and research opportunities.
