Hello, my name is Aryan and I am a second-year Biomedical Sciences student running for Vice President of the Biomedical Sciences Society. University is not just about academics—it’s about making connections, gaining valuable career opportunities, and enjoying the experience to the fullest. As Vice President, I will work closely with the President, Treasurer, and the rest of the committee to ensure our society provides meaningful opportunities, exciting events, and a strong community for all students.

Being a Transition Mentor, I understand the importance of support, guidance, and fostering a welcoming environment for students. I have also been involved in the cricket society as 2nd XI Captain, where I have seen first-hand how a well-run student group brings people together. Additionally, I have experience in securing sponsorships, having successfully helped EFS Client Relations obtain funding. This has given me the skills to bring in sponsorships for our society, reducing costs for members while allowing us to expand our events and opportunities.

Our course is one of the largest at UCL, and we should take full advantage of that—creating networking opportunities, career events, and social activities that benefit everyone.

If elected as Vice President, I will focus on:

  • Expanding career and networking opportunities by bringing in industry professionals, researchers, and biomedical experts.
  • Using my connections with alumni and job recruiters to secure internships, shadowing, and research opportunities.
  • Finding sponsorships to reduce event costs and increase funding for
