Basketball Club (Women's): Treasurer

Treasurer is a role often overlooked by many. Most people think it's boring to "do the maths" and manage the finances of the club, but I beg to differ. I believe that having a good treasurer can shape the events held by the club, and improve the quality-of-life in members. 

As your treasurer, I promise to handle both internal and external transactions smoothly, look for fundraising and sponsorship opportunities, as well as be transparent in how our finances are managed. I will work closely with the rest of the committee to bring the best of the club forward, and plan more events for us.

Specifically, I want to improve our money situation. With most of our finances spent on court bookings and coaching, I hope to look for alternatives to boost the finances of our club. Fundraisers such as last year's bake sale is something I am looking into pursuing, in addition to sponsorships on our jerseys, or for specific events.

I would also like to tap into funds and awards provided by UCL Students' Union. As the treasurer, I will gain better insights on how UCL has been funding our society, and be able to reach out to them with proposals for our events. This could lead to grants, as well as external sponsorships approved by the SU.

With the rest of the committee, I hope that "in the clerb, we all fam" and it stays that way.
