Applying for Social Sec because, let’s be real, I basically live at Phineas and probably hold the UCLWB record for most Sports Nights attended—at this point, Scala should be paying me. SOOOOOO if you ever need a drinking buddy, you know where to find me. If I don’t get it, the new Social Sec better bring Sports Night back!!!!! xx

Katie Lee

After joining the society this year, I have made many new friends thanks to the social get-togethers, and the social secretaries that planned them. I think it is important to keep up this welcoming environment, regardless of what team anybody is on to maintain the love within the UCLWB family. Not only are these social events the optimal way to create new friendships and connections, they are also an outlet for everybody to de-stress after a long day at lectures. As a currently active member of the society, I believe I can further contribute to enhancing the society's social engagements and event organisation by applying for the position of social secretary. Although I haven't formally planned any events, I have experience being the designated organiser of my flat's themed dinners and friend group's graduation trip. Some ideas which I would love to implement if I am elected as social secretary are board game nights, international potluck dinners, and movie screenings.
