George Ponodath

I've enjoyed the few bake shares we have had, especially when I won first start baker of the year. If I became bake society president, I have a few simple commitments:

- A room booked every 2 weeks for a bake share (right from term 1)
- A theme for the bake share announced in advance (so that there's sufficient time to plan)
- A messaging group where anyone can interact (so we can discuss ideas and I'll share the recipe from the first bake share)

Jess Claridge Law

Helllo! I’m Jess and as a lover of baking, I am super excited to be standing for Baking Society’s president this year! This position means a lot to me- I’ve been on this year’s committee as your social media officer (yes the one behind the Instagram)! I’ve been watching from the sidelines, however this year I would love to take leadership of our society and make the 25/26 year bigger and better for baking society!

I genuinely care so much for the baking society and as your president I would:

  • Love to actually get our baking members into a kitchen to BAKE!!! Baking is all about being in the kitchen, and learning! I have contacted nearby kitchens who would be delighted to work alongside with us.
  • To plan the great UCL Bake Off! This would mean collaborating with other societies and allowing bakers across UCL to compete LIVE (inspired by the great british bake off!)
  • To collaborate with other baking societies across the UK and hold more bake sales!
  • To make consistent weekly events and more social events!! It’s up to the president to access the booking systems, contact the Student Union about event approvals and make executive decisions. Therefore I’d love to take responsibility of the society and help to make baking society the best society there is!

If you feel I would best represent you as your President for baking society, to baking lessons to a UCL wide bake off, then vote for me!
