I’ve been heavily involved with ArtsUCL since I joined in 2023 across Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, Jazz, Drama, Live Music and Music Societies. I've performed in 9 blooms shows and over 20 off-blooms as an actor, musician and/or prod team member. I also co-created Rattlepole which we are taking to Fringe this summer, ran the ArtsUnlocked Stage Combat series and am on committee for Shakesoc. I've seen ArtsUCL from more angles than most and will bring understanding, efficiency, inclusivity and an approachable friendly face to this role using my knowledge and experience.
Increase support for new members of the community
- More non auditioned opportunities and improved spaces for these performances
- Increased training space for artistic development
Improve links between societies and ArtsUCL opportunities
- Clearly signposting ArtsUCL skill development opportunities relevant to casting and performance
- Improve communication between the student body and staff of ArtsUCL to ensure student ideas and concerns are heard and acted on
Raise awareness of links between societies and promote collaboration.
Increase standardisation, guidance and transparency in casting processes.
I'd love the opportunity connect all the current and future members of all arts societies to each other and ArtsUCL. With more opportunities and collaboration than ever, I want the chance to continue to cultivate the growth of ArtsUCL into a healthier environment for creative development and enjoyment, whether performing, on prod team or in an audience. Many changes are happening within ArtsUCL and I believe as someone connected to so many across this wide community, I would be a great spokesperson in making sure that these changes continue to be what is best for us all, and what we all want.

My experience in a range of arts societies, including Live Music, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Stage Crew, has given me unique insight into UCL's student arts landscape. I’ve performed in eight Blooms shows and numerous small shows, music-directed several productions (including the record-breaking Shrek (2024)), and sound-designed Home (2025). Currently, I’m producing Hidden Notes (2025) and serving as Tech Officer for the Live Music Society. My extensive involvement in artsUCL has given me an in-depth understanding of the challenges arts societies face and the areas that need improvement.
I aim to improve the arts experience for students at all levels, mainly focusing on:
- Transparency and consistency
- Introducing consistent guidelines for the production process across societies to encourage a culture of inclusiveness.
- Continuing to build ArtsConnect as a central hub for society communication, event promotion, and inter-society collaboration.
- Performance venues: Working with UCL to improve access to affordable performance venues with enough pre-show tech time.
- Workshops: Providing professional-led training sessions for artsUCL-applicable skills, especially production team roles.
The arts community at UCL provides an incomparable opportunity to explore any facet of performance and production irrespective of prior experience, and has led me to discover countless pursuits I wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. I’d like to spend my third year giving back to the community and utilising my skills to make an impact. My experience in a wide range of arts productions has given me a deep understanding of the challenges students and societies face and the knowledge and connections necessary to address them, which makes me an ideal representative for the artsUCL community.
I have extensive experience representing students and navigating the Union’s bureaucracy:
As the elected representative of San Francisco’s 50,000+ state school students, I attended hours-long public meetings, read through district financial reports, asked questions of presenters, and advocated for students' interests by writing and lobbying for student-centred legislation.
While sitting on three committees (including Musical Theatre) this year, I have successfully planned theatre trips, large-scale debate tournaments, union pub socials, and more. This makes me familiar with union processes.
- Room bookings
- Let producers book rooms
- Lobby UCL to make security accept union bookings on weekends
- Build structural support to ensure longevity for new initiatives
- Create an annual timeline/process for production team applications for the InterACT Festival
- Advocate for long-term budget commitments to continue funding programs like ArtsConnect and the Fontainebleau School of Acting Collaboration
- Work with Stage Crew to create a good practices guide
- Eg. suggest that prod teams discuss a schedule at the beginning of tech days to share with performers, helping avoid wasted time for everyone involved
I’m a tenacious changemaker. When the SF School District stalled on sexual violence policies, I organised and presented at a citywide hearing with the Board of Supervisors, successfully pressuring them to implement amendments making the policy more survivor-centric. I’ll bring the same determination as the Arts Officer.
More personally, ArtsUCL reignited my love for the arts, so I am passionate about bettering it. After not performing since I was 13, I auditioned for an MT show in my first term and have since been in at least one show per term across MT, Drama, and Live Music. I ADORE ArtsUCL!
