What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I’ve been heavily involved with ArtsUCL since I joined in 2023 across Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, Jazz, Drama, Live Music and Music Societies. I've performed in 9 blooms shows and over 20 off-blooms as an actor, musician and/or prod team member. I also co-created Rattlepole which we are taking to Fringe this summer, ran the ArtsUnlocked Stage Combat series and am on committee for Shakesoc. I've seen ArtsUCL from more angles than most and will bring understanding, efficiency, inclusivity and an approachable friendly face to this role using my knowledge and experience.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Increase support for new members of the community

  • More non auditioned opportunities and improved spaces for these performances
  • Increased training space for artistic development

Improve links between societies and ArtsUCL opportunities

  • Clearly signposting ArtsUCL skill development opportunities relevant to casting and performance
  • Improve communication between the student body and staff of ArtsUCL to ensure student ideas and concerns are heard and acted on

Raise awareness of links between societies and promote collaboration.

Increase standardisation, guidance and transparency in casting processes.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I'd love the opportunity connect all the current and future members of all arts societies to each other and ArtsUCL. With more opportunities and collaboration than ever, I want the chance to continue to cultivate the growth of ArtsUCL into a healthier environment for creative development and enjoyment, whether performing, on prod team or in an audience. Many changes are happening within ArtsUCL and I believe as someone connected to so many across this wide community, I would be a great spokesperson in making sure that these changes continue to be what is best for us all, and what we all want.
