Hi everyone!
My name is Charlene, and I am currently a 2nd year in MEng Robotics and AI. Currently, I am a part of AI Society as the Head of Operations, and I was previously part of Nexus Labs as admin team in first year. As my role evolved, I gained experience in organizing a wide spread of initiatives across the society, including: talks and workshops, external collaborations with other universities, hackathons, Foundry, Nexus Labs, and more. Besides being an admin member, I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a member and what the society brings to students across all departments with various interests in AI, so I am excited to continue supporting AI society as Head of Dev. In my previous experience with maintaining online platforms for initiatives led by the robotics department, I connected students across high schools by creating a resource hub for hosting shared documentation and queries. I would like to extend these features to AI Society to increase the society's presence and online initiatives such as hackathons (e.g. ClimateHack), which will benefit the members by providing a more comprehensive source of information and community. I would love to work on those aspects for the upcoming year, so vote for me for Head of Dev!

Hello! I’m a Robotics and AI student with a passion for technology and innovation. I’m running for Head of Development because I want to make the AI Society’s digital presence more engaging, informative, and accessible to all members, in addition to wanting to organise online events and competitions for the members of AI society.
My Goals:
- Update & Maintain the Website – Ensure all information is accurate and up to date for the new academic year, making it a central hub for AI Society activities.
- Create a ‘Getting into AI’ Section – A dedicated area on the website with resources from the tutorials, helping newcomers get started in AI with structured learning paths.
- Host Engaging Digital Competitions – Run term-long AI challenges and competitions through the website, culminating in a major end-of-term event to showcase projects and talent, similar to the Doxathon run a couple of years ago. If ClimateHack returns this year, I would make sure that UCL AI society is involved as it has in past years.
As a candidate for Head of Development at UCL AI Society, I aim to bridge the gap between theoretical AI knowledge and practical skills. I'll create structured development pathways with progressive projects, establish mentorship programs pairing experienced developers with newcomers, and foster industry partnerships for real-world experience. My goal is to build a collaborative environment where members can enhance their technical abilities while contributing to meaningful AI applications.
