Hi! My name is Alba and I am running to be your next Welfare Officer. 🌻
When I went to my first ABS event at the beginning of the year, I had the pleasure of meeting the current Welfare Officer. As she welcomed the new members warmly, I was grateful for her presence. Today, I hope to positively contribute to the life of the society in the same way! 🌟
Being a university student can be daunting, especially if it's your first time living in London. Since my friends have helped me so much in adapting to this new lifestyle, I always try to do my best to support others the same way they’ve supported me. I’ve really enjoyed attending ABS events, and I’d love to get more involved by joining the committee. As your Welfare Officer, I’ll be dedicated to promoting a friendly, supportive atmosphere for every member of the ABS and be ready to listen to any concerns you may have! One initiative I have in mind is to host Paint 'n' Sip events to bring members together in a laid-back setting. 🎨
About me:
- My favourite painter at the moment is Joaquín Sorolla! Whenever I look at his paintings they remind me of summer and give me hope. 🏖️
- Frédéric Chopin has been my Spotify Top Artist for the past four years.
- I currently volunteer at UCL Museums and aspire to work at least once in my life at Vienna’s Kunsthistorisches Museum or the Uffizi in Florence.
- Since I am a Law with French Law student, I love attending ABS events because I get to learn about other things than Commercial Awareness.
