Art Business Society: Business Development Officer

Hey everyone! My name is Ameliia, I am going into my final year of History of Art at UCL next year and am super-excited to become your Business Development Officer! In general, I am planning to enable your active involvement in the society: increase the visibility of contributions and participation in the society through intra-society, inter-community, and industry collaboration projects -- some much needed experience and practical skills. Also, a plan yet but hopefully a reality soon, I hope to set up an ABS journal for you to contribute both formally and casually: we will see what the general vibe is, but will surely have a lot of insight and practical experiences!:)

Having worked for a few arts projects and festivals, I am very familiar with the London art scene and the opportunities it has to offer to students or young aspiring professionals. Besides, I am also not a stranger to choice paralysis, so I strongly believe that we should try as much practical tasks while at university to inform our future choices -- that's why I am committed to collaborating with industry experts and coming up with those opportunities for you (and for ABS in long-term; the better the legacy is, the more visible we are). With my art industry experience, network, and organisation skills I will collaborate closely with the rest of ABS team to align events, optimise and expand current society offerings, and carry out longer participation projects -- all with a final goal to make our society next ye
