Priyenka Devkota

Hi I’m Pri and I am running to be your next Vice-President for 93% Club. I recently joined the 93% Club, and found it so wonderful to be a part of such an inclusive and supportive environment, and it was probably the first time where I felt so heard and seen :)

I am in awe of the current committee's amazing work - there is always a fabulous energy in every event that they organise, where we are all suited up in a corporate office, or wittering away over a pint. Witnessing and participating in these events has given me a great insight into 93% Club, the people, the energy and how it is so important to start discussions to help each other succeed - and with this insight, I hope to carry forward the same impactful change. I would do this, by starting off with… you! What are you most confused about academically/career-wise, what kind of events do you want to see, or benefit from? At the start of each term, I would like to organise an informal catch-up, and work from there on organising events with Outreach and the Committee to support the society going forward.

I’m incredibly passionate about social mobility - I volunteer at Zero Gravity aiding state-schoolers on their university applications, and have been a volunteer at the Commission on the Status of Women, working alongside women across the world to facilitate discussions and action on women’s equality. So you can count on me to bring as much passion in aiding 93% Club to maintain its inclusive and safe environment.
