Statistics Society: Treasurer

Hi everyone! I'm Jia Chen, a first-year mathematics and statistical science student, standing for the position of treasurer for our statistics society. I want to share with you my vision, and how I plan to contribute to our society's success, despite not having traditional financial management experience.

While I may not have direct experience as a treasurer, I am highly adaptable. My academic work in statistics has taught me how to approach complex problems, analyse data to make informed decisions, and quickly grasp new concepts—skills I believe are crucial for managing our society's finances effectively.

I believe in the importance of transparency, especially when it comes to managing our society's funds. If elected, I will maintain open lines of communication about our financial status, ensuring all members are informed and comfortable with our financial health and decisions.
