🌟 Join me in shaping the future of our Statistics Society! 🌟

Among the five dedicated first-year representatives, I've been fortunate to work closely with our current committee, particularly President Zexing Li and Head of Marketing, Vinay. Their guidance has fueled my passion for our society's growth and potential.

Looking ahead, I'm committed to expanding our horizons. Let's enrich the student experience with more "meet your cohort" socials, fostering connections among freshers and nurturing a sense of belonging within our department.

But that's not all. I'm determined to strengthen our network by collaborating with esteemed alumni, hosting dynamic panel talks, and forging partnerships with related societies like UCL's Data Science Society and the Quant Society.

Your vote matters in shaping the future direction of our Statistics Society. Together, we can build upon our successes, foster a stronger sense of community, and create valuable opportunities for all members. With your support, we can continue to move forward and shape a promising future for our society!

Sarah Zheng

As the Event Executive this year, I bring a solid year's experience in managing our society's operations and a deep familiarity with organizing a diverse range of events. My focus for this academic year has been on orchestrating academic events, including coding workshops and research events. I have successfully coordinated several workshops in Python and R, covering topics from beginner-friendly introductions to advanced data analysis techniques. Additionally, my participation in events hosted by other colleges has enriched my understanding of effective ice-breaking activities and the importance of regular meetings for fostering community among members.

My tenure as an executive has provided me with invaluable insights into team dynamics and the essentials of leadership, which I believe will serve me well in a presidential role. We have navigated numerous challenges this year, learning and growing under the guidance of our event leader and president. These experiences have equipped me with the knowledge to enhance our operations and team cohesion in the coming year.

With a passion for statistics, I am eager to make a meaningful contribution to our society next year. I have developed a comprehensive plan to assess our strengths and areas for improvement, aiming to continually enhance our society's performance. I am committed to ensuring that we achieve greater success with each passing year.
