I am standing for this role because I started with stage crew this year and have enjoyed every second in which I have worked on a show. I have experience working with ArtsUCL performance societies, and this means I understand how shows work from multiple sides. I am standing for Publicity officer because with my roles on other production teams, I have a lot of experience with social media and want to have more experience and time to spend with stage crew! I look forward to your vote : )

Sara Romai

Hi! I’m Sara, I am a first-year Politics and Sociology student and I’ve really enjoyed being the Fresher’s rep on the Stage Crew committee this year. I have had a chance to get involved in two Bloomsbury Theatre shows as an ASM and am currently working as co-PM on the K-Pop Blooms Showcase, which I am really looking forward to! Through these experiences, and particularly as part of the committee, I have gotten to become familiar with how Stage Crew runs, see what is required of different roles, learn about the logistics of putting a Blooms show together, and got to meet many great people :)

I have some experience with publicity and social media, as I have quite often helped make Instagram posts and run society/club accounts both at UCL and last year. I also love making Canva designs and coming up with new ways to make Instagram fun and engaging. More importantly, though, having joined Stage Crew this year I remember how helpful Instagram was as a way to connect with the society, to figure out how I could get involved, what different roles entailed, and as a platform to easily reach out at any time. I hope that as Publicity Officer, I hope I can make it more comfortable for new members to join shows and convenient for everyone to access information or sign up for crews!

Webbe Chu

I'm throwing my hat in the ring for Publicity Officer because I've got this itch to bring some serious spotlight to the amazing stage crew. I've had some pretty neat experiences outside of uni, especially dabbling in social media where 18 of my videos surprisingly took off, hitting over 10K views(not to brag hehe ). But let me tell you, what really gets me going is our stage crew society and the amazing people in it. I genuinely believe they're the unsung heroes of our university. They pour their hearts into what they do, and darn it, they deserve some recognition! So, I want to put my social media know-how to good use, shining a light on their talents, personalities, and all the cool stuff they do. Let's make sure everyone knows just how awesome stage crew really is!
