I have enjoyed being your VP and interim President this year. I am excited to be running as Blooms Manager to continue building upon our successes and working on more shows with you all.

Blooms shows are our biggest and best opportunities. We must have the correct guidance and management. I have enjoyed helping on Blooms shows this year, assisting the crews as best I can. Hopefully, you've enjoyed my little visits to check everyone is okay. I have also enjoyed using these opportunities to train and develop newer members.

I have experience in most Blooms lead roles, including LD, Stage Manager, Sound Designer and importantly Prod Manager. This gives me insight into what support these roles need. I have also worked on Prod Teams, so I know what they require from us and how we can improve communication with them. As a casual tech at the theatre and through Stage Crew, I have formed a great working relationship with the Blooms techs, which is essential.

Things I want to Improve:

  1. Supporting Prod Managers – Training sessions and improving templates
  2. Allocating lead roles earlier
  3. Building on changes to training I’ve made this year
  4. Have more opportunities to speak to techs ahead of show week – They’re the experts!

Blooms shows are stressful, but I want to make working on them as enjoyable and stress-free as possible, so we all have fun. That’s why we joined stage crew after all. I hope you consider me a strong candidate, and I hope to see you next year in the Bloomsbury Theatre!
