Snowsports Club: Treasurer

Hi, I’m Molly, a 1st year Spanish student. I’m running for Treasurer as I have great attention to detail and strong organisational skills that make me the ideal candidate to manage our club's finances.

Aims:

• Expand our sponsorship base by reaching out to more companies, thus increasing financial resources and benefits for our club.
• Build on our connection with DSUK by introducing fundraising initiatives to increase our support.
• Formalise our varsity competition so it is officially recognised by the SU.
• Introduce new stash, such as training kits and boonies, to satisfy the wants of members and establish constant club representation at events.
• Upgrade essential equipment like our pole bag and guard-compatible poles, ensuring all competitive members can access high-quality equipment.
• Facilitate participation in Road to AJAM because one AJAM a year is just not enough!
• Maximise profit from trips through increased promotion and sales, markup, and a members’ presale to encourage the purchase of a paid club membership.
• Introduce a free trip place giveaway to boost excitement whilst also increasing exposure and ticket sales through social media.

My priority will always be whatever is best for the club. I will use my budgeting skills to ensure club money is spent responsibly. That way, we can make thought-out purchases for things like new equipment or social events. Club success and member satisfaction are at the heart of my aims, and I know I can fulfil these as Treasurer.
