Snooker and Pool Club: Events Coordinator

Hi everyone! I am Rachel and you might be able to recognise me as a regular in Sunday sessions. As someone who only started playing pool more regularly a year ago, I am definitely not as skilled in the sport as many other members I have met over the past year. Even so, I love how welcoming the society has been for beginners and have benefited a lot from coaching and social sessions. This is why I have decided to run for the Events Coordinator, as I wish to contribute to the society and help keep up the friendly and warm atmosphere.

If I get elected as the events coordinator, I’d love to help continue the running of coaching (not as the coach) and social sessions. I would also ensure the smooth running of tournaments which has always been popular within the society. On top of the events the society already has this year, I wish to increase the number of social events that allow members to chat with each other and know each other better, like lunch gatherings after hurricane room sessions or even pub socials. And most importantly, I am happy to discuss and organise events suggested by members of the society!

I’m responsible and love working with different people, so I am confident that I could help sort out various events with other committee members. Thank you for considering me!
