Pi Media: Design Officer

Hiya! 

I'm Beca, and I've been design officer for Pi for the past year. It has been incredible to work with such a talented group of creative individuals to bring the vision of Pi Magazine to life, and I would love to take the opportunity to extend my time in the position. 

My aims in the role moving forward would be to increase the agency and collaboration of the design team, enabling designers and illustrators to have more say in how the final print will look and feel. It is my priority that all members of the team feel heard and valued at all times, and I aim to ensure communication is as frequent and open as possible through regular meetings as well as utilising whichever mediums members feel most comfortable with. I would also like to improve communication between writers and artists to ensure contributors feel their work is being translated appropriately, and will have the upmost visual effectiveness. 

It would be amazing to continue learning from designers, illustrators and writers alike to produce some of the best magazines yet! I hope you will consider my application :)
