MODO Fashion Society: Treasurer

I'm excites to throw my hat in the ring for the treasurer position I'm all about fashion, inclusivity, and sustainability and over the last two years, I've loved joining in on some of MODO's events and soaking up the good vibes and creativity.

My big idea/plan? (if you can really call it that) Making sure everyone can join in on the fun, regardless of their wallet size. I want to stretch our budget to make events more accessible and introduce partial sponsoring for the more expensive events, for those who need it most. After all, fashion should be for everyone, right?

As the budget is central to keep the MODO magic alive, I would love to try and ensure our finances are working hard for all of us, and that even more events are possible for the society next year. 

So, when it's time to vote, I hope you'll consider giving me a shot.

MODO's budget is essential to the quality and scope of events/opportunities it can provide. I've adored the events at MODO at my first year of uni - especially designing for the upcoming fashion show - and none of that could have existed without careful financial planning. I am more than happy and wanting to take this up for the society. Having lead the film soc back in high school, organising large scale film screenings, and even managing the budget for my fashion show collection, I have a deep appreciation for what goes into event planning - and just what costs are involved in such activities.

As a Maths student (sigh) and Notion control-freak - I am confident in my ability to manage the society's finances accurately and efficiently, and find us the best prices and suppliers when it comes to spending. I'm willing to do what's needed - all the administration - to ensure we can continue the momentum set this year. The ultimate goal is to foster an environment where the creativity and talent here can flourish, benefiting all members of our community.

My passion for fashion is deeply ingrained and has been a driving force in my involvement with the fashion society. It is what led me to be the Editing executive for this current year. Throughout my tenure as the Editing executive, I've consistently demonstrated my dedication to fostering creativity and expression within the fashion community. This passion extends beyond my role, as I've actively engaged with various events and initiatives hosted by our society.

During my time as the Editing executive, I've eagerly participated in numerous events, including fashion shows, workshops, and collaborative projects. Each event has provided me with invaluable opportunities to immerse myself in different facets of the fashion industry, from design to production.

My passion for fashion isn't just about aesthetics; it's about creating a community where individuals can explore their creativity, express themselves authentically, and collaborate to push boundaries. Furthermore, my dedication to the fashion society extends beyond events and gatherings. I've consistently engaged with members, offering support, guidance, and encouragement to help foster a welcoming and inclusive community.

Overall, my experience as the Editing executive has equipped me with the skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and passion necessary to take the position of treasurer of the fashion society.
