I am applying for this position because it perfectly aligns with my enthusiasm towards music as well as leadership. Having participated in various other performances in high school, I am familiar with taking the role of the leader and experienced with coordination and teamwork. I've always loved singing, but it wasn't until term 1 showcase that I actually had the chance to perform on stage. That was a very significant moment of my life and the way the audiences reacted truly made me more confident about myself. I'm hoping to take this role to not only share my passion towards singing but also to create opportunities for others to experience the same joy and fulfillment I felt. Lastly, I am committed to sharing my experiences with other members and confident with my vocal and leadership skills to foster a supportive and collaborative environment.

I want everyone to feel more comfortable singing in front of people no matter their vocal abilities. Whether you like singing karaoke, in your bedroom or like singing more professionally I think there is a place for you to show your talents here and I want to try and encourage more people into joining vocal covers and showcasing their voices!

I'm pretty passionate about singing! I want to help others express themselves and meet new people, as I know it can be really difficult to put yourself out there. I have a little theatre and thus vocal background, but I've basically been singing my entire life; I want to show everyone how fun it can be! As well as this I have a long background working in administrative work and management so I think I would do well in communicating in both professional and casual situations. I also just genuinely love getting to know different kinds of people and getting involved in different events :)

Being in K-pop Society this year has really helped me to feel more comfortable and I want to help others feel the same! Part of what really inspired me to take part in the first place was the welcoming and positive atmosphere from everyone. I hope more people can get involved with singing whether it's just casual or in the form of a showcase!

Being an avid enjoyer of many idol groups, I’ve watched a ton of performances, from year-end stages to survival shows (one could say I’m a bit too into those). As such, I’ve always wanted to be part of the coordination teams for similar showcases. I’ve helped to manage several events in the past, including Model United Nations conferences and Innovation Festival booths for Microsoft, so even though I still have a lot to learn, I’m confident in my organizational abilities. Karaokes, vocal covers, busking — I hope to bring even more of these activities to the K-pop society, because so many people here are great singers and deserve to be heard! I also have some experience with music software which may come in handy when it comes to creating backtracks.

I love talking to people — especially when it’s about something we’re both passionate about — so I’m always open to ideas and suggestions, and I promise to be fair when I’m assessing performers and pieces for showcases or vocal covers! I’m big on cohesive contrast, so I love a variety of different sounds in the stages I watch. Whether it’s a rock ballad like Day6’s You Were Beautiful, power pop like IVE’s I AM, or R&B like Kiss of Life’s Sugarcoat, I believe that as long as there’s a vision, there’s a way.

It has been an incredibly fun experience being in the K-pop society for the past year, especially as a vocal leader for Blooms, so now I want to play a part in making it just as fun for everyone in the future!
