Taking up the role of women's football captain is a responsibility I'm eager to pursue. In the brief time I've been part of this team, it has been incredibly fulfilling, securing a special place in my heart. This group represents more than just a collective effort on the field; it embodies a tight-knit community. I am pursuing the captaincy because I genuinely care about the success and well-being of each player. My ability to connect with teammates, coupled with a sincere commitment to leadership, I believe, positions me well for this role. I envision leading with a sense of purpose and unity, steering the team towards both personal and collective triumphs. I am committed to fostering a positive and united team environment where every member feels valued and motivated. With a strong sense of responsibility and a natural inclination for teamwork, I am confident in my ability to lead by example on and off the field.

Hey, it's Ari! I'm running for the role of captain because UCLWFC has genuinely been the highlight of my uni life so I want to give back to the club! The past two years of being a player and a committee member were filled with exciting sporting moments and meaningful opportunities to get to know other players who share my love for the sport.

As captain, I hope to do my part in leading the team to forge great memories on and off the pitch, win or lose. Importantly, I hope to make matches as smooth and enjoyable as possible, and hopefully, we can grow and learn as a team. I was previously the captain of my high school team in Singapore, and have gained many insights on how to support and serve my team best – I will definitely use these skills to lead the team next year. Thanks for being part of the club, and I hope to have your vote :)
