Fashion Business Society: Welfare Officer

Hi!

My name is Anandi, and I am currently a second-year economics student. I’m standing for the position of Welfare officer.

Having initially joined the society to promote sustainability and gather support for small and growing businesses within the fashion industry, I tend to pay attention to factors revolving around the idea of welfare. As a welfare officer, I hope to ensure there is no misconduct when society activities are carried out, assist the president and team with any issues, and actively organise initiatives revolving around the ideas of well-being, mental and physical health, and sustainability in the fashion industry.

As the current welfare officer for the Fashion Business Society, I have prior experience and have demonstrated my commitment by actively participating in meetings, setting up our weekly events or socials, and even teaching our most recent crocheting workshop! Overall, I believe my approachable nature, good communication and organisation skills align well with the qualities required in a good candidate for this role. I hope to continue contributing to UCLFBS and supporting others in their journey through the fashion business industry.
