I would like to see English society grow next year and continue the wonderful workshops and events we’ve had this year. It’s been amazing to work in a supportive team as a workshop officer and I hope I can continue the legacy to make this one of the premier societies at UCL.
I am a genuine enthusiast of English and literature, and as I am studying comparative literature, they have given me the confidence and motivation to join a society full of English and literature lovers. After learning more about English society's culture through activities and social media, I realised that it is incredible, and the people are responsible and pleasant. I wanted to be one of them, so I applied to become one of the social ambassadors. Being part in the operation and management of the society, I am gradually getting familiar to know how to organise and administer it. I hoped, and expected, that I would be able to assume more responsibility for society in the future in order to maintain it operating as smoothly as it has in the past. As president of the organisation, I'm here not just to develop my English communication skills, but also to help more students and alumni find their own place at UCL and to discover the beautiful and intriguing world of English and literature. I am confident that my abilities will support my acceptance of the role, and I believe it will also be determined by how the team members communicate. In this case, I also believe I am capable of dealing with a wide range of challenges while remaining optimistic at all times.
