Electronic Music Society: Treasurer

Thanks to this society, I have had many opportunities to develop my experience by being able to play at live events and practice on professional-grade equipment. Having the opportunity to benefit from all of these experiences so far only in my first year at UCL gives me much excitement for what is to come in the future from Electronic Music Society. Throughout my next two years at UCL, I look forward to the prospect of being able to contribute further to this society and help others in my position refine their passion for music and increase the accessibility of being able to perform live with professional-grade equipment - a tough thing to break into.  

Effective management of the society’s finances lays a foundation for the society to run as close to its potential as possible, thereby giving the most opportunity and enrichment to its members, whether they be beginners or at an advanced level. I believe that my precise and analytical nature provides me with a strong and relevant skill set to be able to contribute effectively in this position. Furthermore, thinking creatively is of significant value to me, in devising solutions and strategies to allow the society’s finances to be utilised efficiently. I also understand the significance of strong communication skills - it is vital to take on ideas from team-members in different positions who may have different perspectives on an issue, while also being able to effectively convey my own ideas.

As an active member and committee member for the past three years, its been an absolute pleasure to be part of the team and I've loved every second of it, I want to continue the journey into my final year of university and make the most of it, much love x
