Mia Barrow

As a regular attendee of both dance rehearsals and classes, I understand the necessity of a good room to dance in, meaning I would fight tooth and nail for good room bookings. I am a very organised person (as evidenced by my incredibly full Google calendar) so would be able to manage all the necessary rehearsals and am very used to dealing with the SU and their room booking system thanks to my experience as the Classics Society Treasurer this year.

If I am chosen to be the scheduling officer I will promise to be available to choreographers to help them with any last minute bookings, will do my best to make sure all the classes and shows are as enjoyable as possible, and create an overall slay dance soc experience :D 💃

Wenqian Zhang

I am a suitable candidate for the scheduling officer position in the dance society. I possess excellent organizational skills and a natural talent for managing events, timelines, and logistics. I am a schedule planner in daily life. I enjoy making to-do lists and using spreadsheets to organize my everyday life, including studying, social events, career tasks, and budgeting. Making plans prevents me from procrastinating and brings life forward. It reduces the uncertainty of life, which sometimes leads to troubles. Additionally, what sets me apart from other applicants is my problem-solving aptitude. I am adept at handling unexpected challenges that may arise during the scheduling process, such as last-minute changes or conflicts. I can think on my feet and find innovative solutions to resolve issues and keep events on track. I understand that booking rooms is a daunting task, but I am confident in my abilities to succeed in this role. The scheduling officer is the backbone of the dance society, and I am determined to excel in this position and contribute my skills to the success of the society. I enjoy life in the dance society. I have made many friends and we dance together. Although I may not be the best producer or choreographer right on stage, I am happy to contribute behind the scenes to make this society great.
