Ksenia Kuzmina

I’m nominating myself for this role because I love conversing with people and social media (which I’m practically on 24/7). I’ve always enjoyed helping people out and organising - I live by my planner. Moreover, dance has become a community that I love; from participating in fresher’s show to competitions and now blooms, I want to become a part of the committee. I must admit that coming to uni to a whole new world of dance wasn’t easy (starting with the scary auditions) but after getting to know everyone, I couldn’t feel more at home. I want to be able to welcome in new members and be there for any concerns and questions that they have, (I know I definitely used to ask silly questions on Instagram), to make them feel as happy as I do in UCL dance society.

Celeste Wu

Hello! As a total beginner in dancing especially hip-hop, I have had a super interesting year attending the classes in dance society! There were so many amazing opportunities to learn new things and show yourself even if you haven't learnt any dancing before! I want to extend this valuable experience to more students, especially helping those who would love to try but had no experience before to make their first step!

My role as the Publicity Officer in Stage Crew this year has equipped me with the skills to manage Instagram posts, inquiries, respond to questions in group chats, and communicate with the committee smoothly. Also I found the ongoing posts on the instagram was quite cute and I wanted to keep on doing that!  Thank you!

Hannah Evans

Hi everyone!! I am Hannah and I am a first-year Economics student. Having danced since the age of 2, I have trained in ballet, jazz and contemporary. Since joining UCL, I have loved attending the dance classes offered, travelling with the competition team and being a part of dance society overall. Having enjoyed dance so much this year, I would love to get more involved with the running of dance society next year by joining the committee and take on the role of Communications Officer. During my time in Sixth Form, I demonstrated that I am attentive, diligent, and well organised by taking on the role of Deputy Head of School. This consisted of having to organise events, send and reply to emails on a daily basis and communicate with both students and staff. Balancing A-levels, a part-time job and dance enabled me to improve my time-management and communication skills, both of which are vital to the role of Communications Officer. Whilst helping to ensure everyone is fully up to date with events and arrangements for competitions and shows, I would still be committed to making dance society an inclusive and fun society for everyone, regardless of whether you’ve danced for your whole life or never danced before.

Hany-Alexandru Radwan-Radulescu

As someone already involved in the Romanian and Moldovan Society as a Social Media Officer, and being a media student, I believe I bring a unique blend of skills to the table. My extroverted nature naturally gravitates towards communication and building connections, which I believe are crucial for the Communications Officer role. In embracing the responsibilities inherent in this role, I am prepared to ensure seamless communication and foster a supportive environment for all dance soc members! Ready to embrace the challenges, I am committed to cultivating a positive atmosphere where effective communication thrives, enriching both the team and the community we serve. :D
