Cheerleading Club: Treasurer

Hi everyone!  

I’m Ellie, a third year and a base. 
 
If you haven’t seen me around recently that’s because I’m currently on my year abroad, but you will definitely see a lot more of me next year (I do love sport’s night!). As Charge captain last year and member of Spark, I loved being part of committee and getting involved in Cheer as much as possible. 

This last year away from Lightning made me realise how much I love it, and why I want to get more involved this year as your treasurer! 

The role of treasurer is to support the president and to maintain the budget. I’m hardworking, perseverant and would commit to building a positive relationship with any president. 

As your treasurer, I will ensure the club has a positive year, in both cash flow and vibes :)
 
Aims:
-       Arrange new fundraising events for the club. 
-       Lower club expenses by finding cheaper training venues and maximise training spaces!
-       With sponsor secs, we will generate new ideas to diversify our incomes. 
 
Experiences:
-       Studying Management has equipped me with in-depth knowledge of accounting to prepare me for this role’s responsibilities. 
-       Having helped plan Rhapsody, reinforced my organisational skills. 
-       Being captain strengthened my admin and leadership skills, which makes me a perfect candidate to defend the club’s interest to the union next year!

I’ve missed cheer so much and can’t wait to get involved again! See you all at the AGM!

I am standing and would love to be the Treasurer for cheerleading as since joining, I have loved it so much this year in Strike and would love to show my appreciation by contributing back to the society!

Being the Treasurer would be the perfect position for me as I already have an affinity with handling money and organising the whole society with my past experience within the Economics Society this year when planning events and organising our budget. I am always extremely organised, great at communicating with everyone, and am very good at working with all types of people and personality types, so I am confident I will work incredibly well with whoever is on the committee next year, supporting all ideas and events in any way possible.

I am already exceptionally well versed in budgeting and building Excel spreadsheets to track society spending and have an overview of the club's finances, as well as quickly and efficiently solving any financial difficulties.

With my excellent leadership, teamwork and proactiveness, I am confident that I will be a fantastic and effective treasurer if nominated, helping make the cheerleading society even more fun and exciting for next year!
